Fairy with Working Lantern

It’s the little extra touches that help make my fairies magical. This one has a lantern that actually works!

The forest Leafmoss fairy is a charming needle-felted miniature, 9cm tall. She has moss-green hair and emerald-green eyes. Her dress is of pale, green-veined leaves, and her golden-green top suggests moss. Sprinkled glass seed beads make her sparkle. Her magical is an LED lantern.

Halloween Witch Fairy and Black Cat

Since Halloween is approaching, I felt inspired to make this little Witch. The figure itself is 3 1/2” high, but comes to nearly 6” with the hat and cat.

I added beads and jewels to add to her magic. She has a pentacle on the back of her cloak. The broom has stalks of Artemesia smudging sage, and they smell spicy.

The cat was the most fun to do: I wanted to capture the pose of a typical Halloween cat, with its arched back and scary, fuzzed-up tail. The whiskers are made from smoky fishing line. You can almost hear the cat hiss! Now to see what other magic I can create . . .
